Affiliation

All Missouri chapters are required to use the national affiliation system. If you are not sure if your school has a chapter established in this system please contact the state adviser.

The national office has developed several documents to assist you in navigating the affiliation system. Please visit the national site for the most up-to-date information. If you should run into any problems or have any questions please contact the state adviser.

Deadline Reminder: Affiliation payment must be received by December 18 for eligibility in regional, state and national STAR Events and officer candidates. All dues are sent to the national office and must be processed by this date.

Questions about affiliation? Contact the state office

Remember that according to state and national bylaws only chapters affiliated with the regional, state, and national associations shall use the name Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). It is illegal and unethical to use the name Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and not be affiliated on all levels.

2020-21 Temporary Affiliation Packages

Available until November 1

COVID has impacted all of us in a variety of ways. Our students are no different. We know that finances can be difficult during this time, so nationals has announced a variety of temporary pilot/emergency affiliation options. Below is a description of each option. There is also a PDF below with a decision tree to help you decide if one of these relief packages may benefit your chapter.

**Please note in all of these options the requirement of paying for at least 12 members on the national level is still in effect. Advisers are NOT included in any of these options.**

Regular affiliation: This is the method you are already accustomed to. Pricing is per student.

20 member package: This method gives you a small financial break for affiliating up to 20 members. Each member after 20 will be charged the per student rate like the regular affiliation.

Unlimited: This method is a flat rate no matter how many students you affiliate.

Chapters must apply to take part in this option. Please visit the national website here: https://fcclainc.org/join/temporary-price-reduction-chapter-participation-package

Dues

Middle Level Affiliation Programs

The Middle Level Affiliation Program is designed for middle school chapters with 51 or more members in grades 6-8. National dues are $250 and state/regional dues are $200 regardless of the total number of student members.
Chapters interested in this opportunity should contact the state adviser.

Each year it is important to confirm and update a variety of information in the affiliation system. Below are some steps to take to make sure the system is up to date and ready for the new year. When verifying or updating information please check capitalization.
  1. When you log in for the first time you will be shown a screen of information associated with the chapter. Please read the information and update as needed before pressing the confirm button.
  2. Review the information in the chapter adviser tab. Here you can add a new adviser if needed and see any information associated with the current adviser(s).
  3. Click the pencil icon next to each adviser and make sure the information is correct and updated. Please complete as many fields as you can including your home address in the addresses section.
  4. Make sure you don't have any outstanding invoices from last year. You can find them in the invoices tab. Any outstanding invoices will prevent you from being able to affiliate this year.
  5. Open the chapter information tab and verify all information in each of the sections. If you see an error in fields that are locked please contact the state office. Update any blank fields.
  6. Get a head start on cleaning up your membership list by graduating members who have graduated or moved up in grade and will be at a new building. Information on how to do that can be found above.

Now you are ready for the year! See additional information on this page for further instructions on working in the affiliation system.
